Hi, I’m Ingrid — an artist and illustrator based in the Red River Gorge of Kentucky.

My work is inspired by the places I go, the things I notice, and the little moments that are too good not to draw. I love filling sketchbooks with field notes, observations, illustrated maps, loose studies, and ideas collected from everyday life. Those pages often grow into paintings, illustrations, and quirky characters with a little bit of personality — and usually something relatable about them.

Living in the Red River Gorge has naturally found its way into my work. You’ll see bits of climbing, wildlife, plants, trails, and life in the mountains mixed throughout my pieces, alongside inspiration gathered while traveling and exploring places farther from home.

I’m especially drawn to watercolor, drawing, and illustration, and I love making work that feels playful, curious, and a little unexpected. Sometimes that means documenting a place through a sketchbook spread. Sometimes it means painting a strange little animal having a very human experience.

Alongside my personal work, I occasionally take on murals, commissions, and larger creative projects that feel like a good fit.

More than anything, I want my artwork to feel like a collection of things I’ve noticed along the way — places worth remembering, characters worth meeting, and small moments worth paying attention to.
